Retiree Giving

Retirees Make a Difference

Capital Area United Way's United Forever program gives you the opportunity to remain active in your community and be a part of your retiring company.

The reitree initiative has been a worthwhile undertaking in many ways. Retirees not only have the opportunity to continue their finanical support, but once contact is made, they gain an outlet for opportunities to volunteer in the community. Last year, many companies began to incorporate a retiree program into their workplace giving campaigns. In 2008, more interest in reaching out to retirees has begun and many companies have formally introduced a retiree program.

Benefits:

  •  A trusted and familiar source for making charitable contributions
  • A way to remain informed about United Way and its funded agencies
  • An easy path to support programs important to the entire community
  • An opportunity to discover new volunteer involvement
  • Potential automatic pension deduction to make giving easy
  • Invitations to special social events, workshops, and volunteer gatherings
