Your Money at Work

How We Add Value to Your Donation:

Diversified Product Lines

CAUW funds 53 Member Agencies and 16 Affiliated Agencies in the 10-parish Capital Area. These agencies address such a wide array of human needs that most any donor group can find something with which it has had experience, whether directly or through family affiliations.

Agency Selection and Continuous Quality Monitoring

A carefully orchestrated volunteer intensive process has been developed to screen prospective member agencies and to monitor member agencies on a regular basis for service delivery, organizational integrity, and financial accountability. This assures the donor that the money he/she donates is channeled to legitimate charitable service to people right here in our community.

Focus on Mission to Serve People in Need in the Community

Through participation in CAUW, agencies are relieved of some of the burden and costs of fundraising. Time freed up from fundraising is time human service organizations can devote to their missions.

Direct Support to People in Need of service

The CAUW 2-1-1 Helpline puts people in need directly in touch with the organizations who can help. With a bank of data about human services that extends far beyond the United Way family, this information and referral service can be used by anyone in need and accesses information from over 1,300 local organizations and agencies. Dial 2-1-1 to give or get help.
